I started installing windows and doors when I left school in 1984.

A neighbour/friend asked me to work with him installing windows, at 16 I didn’t have a clue what that involved. He was a great teacher with who I learnt a lot from in the three or more years I was with him. Somewhere new everyday, a different house, different windows, no day was the same, loved it, and with his teaching and my work ethic they both combined to get me to where I am today. Owe him a lot.

Doing something for forty years, you must enjoy what you do and I ENJOY what I do.

While installing windows we started getting more and more calls to carry out repairs on older double glazing, nothing wrong with the windows themselves they just needed an adjustment or part replacing, thus saving them money.

From this we have started Working Windows, a window repair company with 40 years of valuable experience behind us. We strive to provide a top-notch service to our customers, and in so helping you keep your house warm, safe and secure.

At Working Windows we have a commitment to excellence. We take pride in every project/problem we undertake, whether it's a small repair, complete window overhaul or just some advice over the phone. Where possible we will source the correct part for your window or door at a very competitive price. A locksmith maybe able to get your door open, replace the lock, but to find out why the lock went wrong in the first place you need someone who has a background in installing windows and doors.

Originally as an installer of windows we also provide a new window and door installation service. We use a local UPVC window, door and materials supplier in Stevenage, who, like us takes pride in his work. He has been fabricating/providing UPVC windows and doors for over thirty years to the public, trade and local builders.

We can also supply and install aluminium windows and doors.

For new installation work we are registered with Certass as a surveyor/installer. Our Certass registration number is 21-1060.
